The Villa provides luxury accommodation of a level equivalent to a first class boutique resort with many of the worlds market leaders of this genre being close by neighbors in Ubud. The 5 master suite estate is rented to only one party at a time for unshared usage of all facilities and is available to groups as small as two people. Spa and spiritual Retreat programs are available on site.
In the architectural style of Bali that remains prevalent in Ubud, the villa facilities are located in multiple buildings, known as bales. Each of the six major bales has a given function with the sleeping and living buildings set at a distance from entertainment, kitchen, laundry and utilities. Bali Gita also favors the Ubud classical construction tradition of natural organic building materials, furnishings and roofing.
South of the pool, which centers the villa a two level pavilion houses a seemingly underground environment friendly private cinema. Above this sits the beautifully simple, open Ayung River Gamelan Bale
To the Villa's East the 2 level Panorama Pavilion separates the main pool from a private spa pool attached to the Honeymoon Suite. Spectacular views on the upper level make this building the favored location for weddings at the villa.
At the western end, the large Hospitality
Bale has the main dining room overlooking the villa's
billiard room. Tucked away to the rear, the commercial
kitchen opens to a detached staff court and amenities
building.
An antique bar adjoining the tennis court is one of several
smaller bales. Built in the rustic style typical of the area
around Ubud, Villa Bali Gita utilizes these extensively for
such functions as outdoor spa baths and staff amenities.
A luxuriously appointed private bus is
provided for the convenience of the Villa's guests. Custom
built this vehicle rounds out a set of comprehensive
facilities that afford a self contained vacation free of any
major extras.
Each of the multi level buildings is unobtrusively integrated with the land contours, avoiding any impression of intrusive bulkiness. Surrounding the pool, the villa complex buildings are aligned and positioned functionally in accord with the cosmology of Bali.
Being set in the rural area of Ubud, Villa Bali Gita's infrastructure is of great importance to successful operation. Amenities expected by today's traveler are not typically found in the villages of Ubud and even those available in Bali's population centers often lack reliability and robustness. To support the level of luxury at the villa considerable attention has been given to adequate electric power supply, automatic industrial level power back up, pure hygienic deep well water, pressurized water supply and eco friendly waste disposal.
High speed Internet access is of course provided throughout the villa with connection jacks in all bedrooms and living areas. In order to bypass points of regular failure and congestion, dedicated 2-way satellite communication connects Bali Gita directly to the Internet backbone as a self-contained point of presence. Mail servers on site are directly addressable worldwide and do not use any intermediary ISP or mail service provider. On arrival each villa guest has a Web mail account set up on the local server plus access direct from our Ubud site to their regular mail services.
Staff at the villa are employed almost totally from the surrounding Ubud area villages and have been trained on site. They regularly receive top marks from our most demanding clients for their proficiency and unspoiled manners. Key employees from elsewhere were carefully chosen for professional skills and ability to pass on their knowledge. This has resulted in a team of 25 proficient people who unassumingly keep the villa operating efficiently around the clock. The day and night managers keep things moving smoothly and ensure all of the villa's resources are focused completely to the guests' comfort.
