Panoramas of the Ayung river valley feature prominently in
Central Bali where rapidly flowing streams cut spectacular
paths through jungle and terraced rice fields. For sheer jaw
dropping spectacle however the 10 km / 6 mile winding reach
to the immediate west of Ubud is unmatched as the tributaries
converge to a single river which gathers force and races
through a series of white water rapid gorges and ravines.
Spectacular promontories overhang dramatic vistas, which run
from the Begawan Giri resort in the north to the Four Season
Sayan Hotel in the south. Above and below this magic area the
valley narrows and the river is forked to tributary streams
but within that magnificent reach lie some of the Island of
the Gods, and indeed the world's, most sought after views.
Bali Gita sits elevated 70 meters above the mid point of this
much desired stretch, hovering on it's own bluff around which
the rapids describe two 180 degree meanders enveloping the
villa in stunning panoramas and a subdued roar. View
pavilions, dining and living areas are located to optimize
the spectacular scenic display.
