Dining, Hospitality and Recreation Bale

A large three level Bale at the western end of the pool houses the villa's entry foyer. Stairs lead up to main dining room, which overlooks the billiard room located on the ground level. Adjoining the foyer is one of the villa's two visitor powder rooms.

Entry to the villa compound is colorful and impressive with a walled 500 square meter outer garden fountain courtyard being entered from the main gates and proceeding through another Balinese gateway to the central pond and fountain. This last borders the entry foyer, which is reached by a footway across the pond. The outer courtyard is frequently used for pre dinner and pre wedding garden receptions as this allows holding visitors outside of the focal point prior to commencement of the main occasion.

To the rear of this building and again at ground level, the commercial kitchen leads out to a roofed enclosed courtyard containing service amenities including the laundry, kitchen dish washing, additional refrigeration, water storage and staff facilities. The kitchen is equipped in the same way as a hotel restaurant and was fitted out by Nayati, one of Indonesia's leading commercial catering equipment suppliers. A well-planned location reinforced with industrial level ventilation ensures the villa living and accommodation areas are free of lingering or stagnant food preparation odors and residues.

The billiard room is commodious and designed for unhampered freedom of movement when using the tournament size 12 foot by 6 foot table. There is for example no need to use shortened cues to negotiate tight areas. With a mahogany frame the table has a full championship 1¾ inch Italian slate base and UK professional woolen cloth. Snooker, Billiards and Pool ball sets are on hand along with a complete set of cues and accessories.

Wooden covers convert the billiard table to a very large buffet for big dinners and the design concept for this room and the adjoining kitchen plays a key role in enabling these occasions. Being an ultimate indoor outdoor room it functions seamlessly for food service flow between the kitchen, pool decks and large areas of lawn that surround it. This in turn enables highly effective usage of these outdooor spaces as an integrated dining area for well over 100 guests. Bars are set up at strategic points around these spaces.
