Villa Bali Gita

Located below the Gamelan Bale, the wood panelled movie theatre faces south and is underground on three sides, masking entirely it's presence from the villa. Double glazed entry doors complete a fully soundproofed cinema or disco environment with neither audible nor visible intrusion on the villa or river valley tranquility. Equipment is state of the art and comprehensive. The projection screen for the RGB projector is 128x72 inches, or 147 inches as normally expressed for TV screens. Sound equipment is 7 channel digital and media is available from a 300 title DVD and Laser Disk library.

The satellite antenna is motorized and connects to broadcast and subscription services in most of the worlds spoken languages. Services such as CNN, BBC, CNBC and NHK are of course available.

A high end audiophile stereo system also housed here is based on Wilson Watt speakers and Audio Research & Krell amplifiers. Likewise a substantial CD library is available. For the true audiophile, a VPI TNT turntable with SME V tonearm and Koetsu Rosewood cartridge can also be set up with the Manley Designer Reference preamp but bring your own vinyl and invite the owner to the listening sessions.

The room is 11 x 8 meters, widening to 9 meters in the central area. Custom built elevated couches shown in the picture can be demounted, allowing reconfiguration as a meeting room or disco.

Computer systems are networked and have broadband connection to the internet. A good collection of books are available in the English language.
