Weddings at Bali Gita use the Villa main dining areas or more often surrounding gardens and decks for the reception, entertainment and meal. All can be decorated for the occasion in whatever style is desired. Settings, placements and stationery designed uniquely for your wedding by a leading Bali design house are available if required.
Banquets are prepared in the cuisine of choice with a wide range of options available. Most popular either in total or in part is the Balinese banquet featuring the island delicacies of Smoked Duck and Babi Guling - suckling pig. Guests have the choice of buffet or table service.
Many of the island's top restaurants and exclusive hotels lie within easy driving distance and will provide catering services at the villa. Likewise more affordable establishments are also available and provide excellent quality. Italian, Japanese, Chinese and the sophisticated fusion styles of San Francisco and Sydney are some of the choices. Particularly popular is the very professional service provided by Bali's's ever popular Batan Waru Restaurant or, when only the absolute best will do, Ubud's gorgeous Mosaic Restaurant.
The villas own staffing and facilities that are included in the rental can handle self catered pre-wedding, ceremonies and receptions of up to 60 guests. Increasing this to 100 requires only the hiring of some extra equipment as well as serving staff who are also available form the local area and well known to the villa management.
IMPORTANT - WEDDING GUEST CAPACITY. When first opened the partially completed villa gardens were capable of holding only 40 seated dining guests. Extensions, already in process at the time and quickly completed, increased this capacity to comfortably in excess of 100. Functions held in the main living area easily seat 50 to 60 while allowing musicians and service staff to circulate freely. The long outdated earlier capacities are however still occasionally showing up on the Internet and causing confusion - hence this correction.
For bigger parties the reception is often held at the nearby Puri Banyuning, the original Royal Palace of Bongkasa, which caters to very large events. The Puri also specializes in the lavish traditional Balinese Wedding ceremony, which can take place at either palace or villa. Prominent among our reference partners for traditional western ceremonies are Bali Weddings International..
When Bali Gita's team does the catering, all produce, materials and beverages are ordered from wholesale and retail suppliers in consultation with and on behalf of the villa wedding party. As with other meals, the cost price only is paid by the guest while preparation and service charges are included in the villa rental. The guest pays directly to the staff a service fee for clean up and extra time worked. This varies with party size.
Imported and domestic beverages are readily available in Bali at supermarkets and specialty stores. A good variety of wines from nearby Australia as well as France are quite plentiful and the prices very reasonable given that they are imports. Some quite excellent wines are also made in Bali and are well suited to the climate - these should certainly be considered both from a quality and cost perspective.
The villa is well set up for Beverage Service, which goes on throughout the night. Snacks can be cooked up at any time as the night staff is proficient in the kitchen and, other than keeping noise to an appropriate level, no curfew is imposed on celebrations. Numerous nooks, day beds and couches are comfortable for slumber and a hearty breakfast is normally served to one and all the following morning. A day party then continues through to dinner.
